Mature students (in general 23 years of age on the 1st of January of the year of registration) are invited to apply for entry to our degree courses. Each mature student applicant is considered on an individual basis. Academic qualifications, work experience, motivation and overall potential for the course of study are evaluated usually by means of an interview.
Further details are available from the Mature Student Office. Mature students apply directly to the UL Admissions Office rather than through the Central Applications Office. While there is generally a deadline for applications, for some courses we offer a flexible admissions policy. Please contact the relevant Course Director for details.
The Faculty is delighted to present you with some of the most dynamic and progressive undergraduate degree courses in computing, design, engineering, mathematics and science. We have fantastic facilities and dedicated teaching and research staff providing you with every opportunity to gain a valuable qualification while enjoying the exceptional educational environment that UL has to offer. You can apply for any of our undergraduate courses through the Central Applications Office (CAO). A Special Mathematics Examination is run annually by the Faculty which provides students with the opportunity to meet the mathematics entry requirements for S+E courses.
The Faculty welcomes applications from non-EU students (called International Students) to all our undergraduate and postgraduate degree courses. Applicants should apply to the International Education Division before July 1st to be considered for a place beginning the following September. However, it is advisable to apply earlier than this to ensure sufficient time for processing of visa applications. International Mature Student Applicants apply in the same way.
The Faculty welcomes applications from students seeking to transfer into Year 2 or beyond of any of our undergraduate degree courses. Application forms and further details such as Entrance Requirements and Application Deadlines are available from the UL Admissions Office. However, potential applicants are advised to contact the relevant Course Director for informal discussion prior to applying.
